Birkenstocks are the original. The classic quintessential sandal. In 1968, Margot Frasier first introduced Birkenstock sandals to America, and ever since they've been the benchmark for comfortable footwear. Birkenstocks feature contoured footbeds that distribute weight evenly, neutral heels for better posture, and plenty of room for toe-wiggling freedom. Today, Birkenstock makes more than 400 styles of sandals, shoes and clogs. Each is still built around Birkenstock's legendary footbed. Still hand-stitched. Still German-made. My mother is a diabetic and has had a very hard time finding any kind of shoes that are comfortable for her. So I bought her these for Mothers day and she loves them. They are the only shoes she wears.
my wife has MS, and has difficulty walking, these shoes help so much. She is a college professor and stands a lot to teach, she would have so much more trouble without these wonderful
shoes.
I keep puchasing the new colors of Birkenstocks every time they come out with a new one. They work for play time or work too! I must have over 20 pair at this time and will keep buying them in the future. They are soooo comfie!

There is a type of style that stays just that...a sandal one either likes or not. I am drawn to the Birkenstock shoe. I have these in every color and am now buying the newer styles too. BUT the classic Birkie is one that I enjoy. I have owned Birkies for years and these wear well. I do like the brown suede color too. Although I now need to close the buckles at the smallest notch so my next pair I might need to buy the narrow width.
